Verified® Inc. are a team of research engineers, software engineers, systems analysts, technicians, trainers, and Ph.D. scientists working together to find energy efficiency solutions to reduce the impact of global warming.

Robert Mowris earned a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering at the University of Wisconsin, Madison in 1983 and a master of science degree in building science and indoor air quality at the University of Colorado, Boulder in 1985. Robert worked with Dr. Arthur Rosenfeld at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL) from 1985 through 1990. Robert is a professional engineer and inventor with 30 US patents and pending patents for indoor air quality and energy efficiency technologies that can prevent pandemics and reduce US energy and carbon dioxide emissions by 4%. Robert has published more than 100 peer-reviewed papers and performed more than 300 research studies for clients throughout the United States.

Ean Jones earned a bachelor of science degree in biology and environmental science from Northern Arizona University and is working on a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from University of Nevada, Reno (UNR). Ean has more than 23 years of HVAC engineering, installation, maintenance, and lab testing experience and has trained more than 2,000 technicians on quality installation and maintenance for residential and commercial HVAC systems. Mr. Jones is an expert at installing, diagnosing, and correcting mini split, packaged, and split systems, and controls. Mr. Jones has conducted energy efficiency evaluation and research studies for more than 100 energy efficiency programs.

Robert Eshom earned an associate science degree from Mt. San Antonio College. Robert is NATE-certified with more than 30 years’ experience on major HVAC brands including Bryant, Carrier, Lennox, Rheem, and York. Robert is certified on gas chillers and ATMT Electrical Safety NFPA 70E®. Robert has trained more than 1,000 technicians on proper installation and maintenance of split and packaged residential and commercial gas furnaces, air conditioners, air-source and geothermal heat pumps, mini-splits, economizers, heat exchangers, chillers, and radiant systems. Robert has installed UVC lamps, air scrubbers, bipolar ionizers, and HEPA air filters to remove aerosol pathogens.

Igor Zlimen earned a Ph.D. in Nuclear Physics from Rugjer Boskovic Institute in Croatia and was a post-doctoral fellow in Nuclear Science at Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory in Berkeley, California. Igor designs Visual Basic (VB) applications as front end for SQL databases, implementing OLE, using Windows APIs and interfacing MS Office applications. Igor developed QC/QA verification data collection including tablet, web-based, and smart-phone software to process more than 450,000 records for HVAC programs. Mr. Zlimen has designed and hosted web servers for data collection and research and DCOM objects. Igor builds VB OLE servers on different database platforms to produce Excel workbooks as complex reports for performance analysis, data transfer tools, and training applications.

Kathleen Carlson earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of California, Davis in 1980, an MBA from Golden Gate University in San Francisco in 1980, a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Santa Clara in 1984 and a Masters in Psychology from JFK University in Orinda, California in 1990. Kathleen worked with Dr. Arthur Rosenfeld at LBNL from 1985 through 1987. From 1986 through 2005, Robert and Kathleen performed more than 200 research, evaluation, measurement, verification studies of energy efficiency programs for environmental groups, energy service companies, real estate investment companies, corporations, utilities and government agencies. In 2005, Robert filed his first patent application for a system and method for verifying proper refrigerant and airflow for air conditioners and heat pumps in cooling mode (US 7,500,368 B2 issued March 10, 2009). In 2006, Robert and Kathleen founded Verified® Inc., to provide Advanced Fault Detection Diagnostics (AFDD) software for the HVAC industry.

Our patented and patent pending Verified® RCA and Non-invasive Temperature Diagnostic (NTD) software has been used to verify the performance of more than 500,000 packaged and split system air conditioners and heat pumps since 2004. Providing non-invasive temperature diagnostic (NTD) software methods, significant time savings, and secure-cloud scheduling, invoicing and tracking database. These procedures reduce refrigerant venting by more than 50% and save 15 to 75 minutes per job compared to the conventional procedures implemented manually or using software programs that rely on calculated superheat or subcooling values.

Our novel patented NTD software is a game changer for the industry offering previously unknown features. Such as using NTD measurements to determine whether or not the air conditioning system is providing proper cooling capacity and airflow before attaching refrigerant hoses to the system. If the temperature split indicates low cooling capacity, then the patented Verified® NTD software can diagnose numerous faults such as undercharge, overcharge, non-condensables, restrictions, heat transfer, compressor, or expansion valve faults to avoid unnecessary refrigerant charge adjustments. If no other faults are present, the Verified® NTD software accurately determines exactly how much refrigerant charge to add to obtain proper refrigerant charge. No other software systems provide comprehensive NTD for air conditioning systems.

Verified® has been providing training, technical support, and AC tune-up verification services for the California AC Tune-up programs since 2004.

During 2011 Verified®'s Secure-Cloud Software was incorporated into several large-scale California AC tune-up programs. A flow chart and description of the Verified® RCA process and Secure Cloud Server implementation can be found here.
